Dr. Shane Swatts grew up in Princeton, WV and studied Pharmacology and Toxicology at West Virginia University prior to receiving his doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, the Tidewater Optometric Society, The Orthokeratology Academy of America and the Ocular Nutrition Society.
Dr. Ramos established Eastern Virginia Eye Associates in 2003. With military roots, she was raised in the Hampton Roads area, graduated from Norfolk Academy, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and then her doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry/Salus University in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Courtney Kness grew up on a farm in south-central Nebraska. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. She pursued her doctorate in Chicago, Illinois where she graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2010. Since graduation, Dr. Kness has practiced around the greater San Diego area and in a small town, rural Nebraska.
Dr. Christina Gratkowski was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ursinus College with a degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Biology. Before Dr. Gratkowski received her Doctorate degree in Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2019, she worked as an optician and optometric technician in a private optometry practice in order to gain more experience in the field.
